Myrrh Resinoid.
Myrrh Resinoid is a solvent extraction of the aromatic gum-resin from Commiphora myrrha trees growing in the arid regions of Somalia and Ethiopia. The resinoid is a warm, smoky-medicinal balsamic with dry-bitter depth and an ancient, sacred, temple-like character. Used across cultures for over 4,000 years — biblical gift, Egyptian embalming resin, Ayurvedic medicine, and modern perfumery base note. Rich in furanoeudesma-1,3-diene and curzerene — the molecules responsible for myrrh's characteristic bitter-medicinal depth. Blends beautifully with frankincense, oud, and rose.
