Oakmoss Absolute.
Oakmoss Absolute is the solvent extraction of the lichen Evernia prunastri, which grows on oak and other hardwood trees across European forests. The absolute is a deep green-brown, viscous material with an unmistakable earthy-bark-forest-floor aroma — dry, slightly resinous, and structurally the base of every classical chypre (Chypre by Coty, Mitsouko, Aromatics Elixir) and fougère (Fougère Royale, Azzaro Pour Homme). Our oakmoss is supplied at trade-legal atranol and chloroatranol levels compliant with the latest IFRA amendments, so it can be used in commercial launches without breaching the sensitiser threshold.
