Kewda Absolute.
Kewda Absolute (Pandanus odorifer) — also called Ketaki in Sanskrit — is one of India's oldest aromatic materials, mentioned in Vedic and Puranic texts. Only the male flowers are harvested, collected before dawn from the coastal plantations of Ganjam district in Odisha. The absolute is a warm, honeyed, hyacinth-like floral with a green-fruity lift and a slightly resinous depth that no synthetic has replicated. Used in classical Indian attars (particularly for Shamama), temple offerings, and increasingly in modern niche perfumery for its uniquely Indian floral signature. GC/MS verified.
